The Los Angeles County Perinatal Mental Health Task Force believes that all babies should be born to healthy women, regardless of race, income, age, educational background, geography, etc.  That is why the Task Force advocates for public policies at the county, state and national levels that support perinatal depression screening and treatment for up to one year postpartum.  The Task Force has made many strides towards this goal since its inception in 2007, but there is still a lot of work to be done.  Feel free to browse this section to learn more and help!

The mission of the Los Angeles County Perinatal Mental Health Task Force is to remove barriers to the prevention, screening and treatment of prenatal and postpartum depression in Los Angeles County. The Task Force is a project of 501(c)3 fiscal sponsor Community Partners.
